6 GENERATIONS OF EXPERTISE
We are sixth generation olive farmers from North Aegean city of Burhaniye. We harvest olives from the trees planted by my elders and use mechanical methods only for olive oil production. Our olive fields are situated in Edremit bay of Turkey where is taken to be origin of many Ancient Greek mythologies such as being the birthplace of Artemis. The location is rich in oxygen levels due to low levels of industrialization and history in farming.
Olive oil is a strong mix of antioxidants and it has qualities of being a very good balancer of gut bacteria. This is due to naturally developed proteins and oil acids in the olive fruit itself.
THE VARIETY OF OUR OLIVE OILS
An olive oil tradition of 200 years
Our family has roots in northwestern coast of Turkey with 200 years of olive agriculture. Our elders had set up a charitable foundations and planted hundreds of trees to sustain the prodcution. We are proudly available to offer delicate taste from our region as well as Italy and Spain's tastes to suit your packaging needs.
OLIVE OIL AND OTHER EDIBLE OILS
Olive oil is one of nature's phenomena. It has not only a dietary power but also an antiseptic. Olive oil has a very high temperature of fuming which makes is healthier than all other refined oils made from grains.
We enjoy the olive as a fruit as its oil. We are aiming to share a taste which we have enjoyed for more than 2 centuries,
DELIVERING A HIGH LEVEL PRODUCT
In order to harvest the best out of olive fruit we use traditional and proven methods for extraction. Due to nature of process our fruits are handled within the same day of harvest from the trees then stored in metal vats. Upon classification of oil acid levels oil would be bottled to arrange a weatherproof safeguarding as well as away from sun. Olive fruits are harvested in autumn, especially right after the first rainfall in November. Traditional method is shaking the tree by 2-3 meter long tree branches then gathering dropped fruits. Fruits laying on the soil are avoided as they contain less water and may have further acidity in them. With modern agriculture, tractors and mechanical shakers came into the scene, but to collect the fruit as it is impractical to pick from the tree one have to shake it without damaging branches. Following the harvest, oil has to be extracted as soon as possible as acidity of the fruit increases. Bare fruit would be squashed between rotating stones to crack the flesh and stone to release the juice hence oil of the fruit. There are several ancient methods to ease extraction of olive oil.
We, as olive farmer family, prefer to deliver a high level product in order to present better experience to do that we provide only Extra Virgin and Virgin level oils.
WE ONLY PROVIDE PURE OLIVE OIL
On the worldwide market today, since the price of olive oil is higher to other oils, "olive oil" is mostly either chemically extracted or mixed with other types of seed oils. There are various regulations on olive oils, also their origin does not mean or guarantee the location of harvest, but bottling location. As we want to stand out of the crowd and bring in the pure power of olive oil, we sell only "Extra Virgin" and "Virgin" grade oils from their origin.
